Nice.  :)  Yeah, you're not as limited with comics or animation as you are with live action.

That's some really nice work on the character.  I've never been able to wrap my head around organic modeling.  The best I've ever been able to manage are a few small people (barely better than stick figures) that are best viewed from a respectable distance so that you can't see how low detail they are.  ;)

Nice composition.  Though, the problem I always have with using that Earth image is the big honkin' lens flare on it.  No matter how you use it, your stuff winds up on top of the flare ghosts, which is unnatural.  ;)  However, I like the color change you did on it and the addition of the ringed planet looks really good.  The ship render looks really good too.  ;D

The scope is looking good.  It looks like you need to tone down either the emission or the diffusion (or both) but it's definitely looking good.  :)

I've had 2 or 3 different people try to teach me 2D chess.  I still don't get that, let alone 3D chess.   :noway:

This is a Data Disk Reader. They were used to record personal logs and view information off of the disks used aboard ship and at starbases. Thanks to Craig Sheeler for reference images so that I could model this. He has his original prop for sale on Ebay right now for anyone interested.... :)
