Well, it's been awhile since I posted.  Just to let folks know I haven't dropped off the face of the Alpha Quadrant starcharts, I wanted to tell you I have a special something that I hope I can release next month, yes, May of 2013.  It's not very long, but it is something I hope that you will enjoy, and I have Mr. Jaime 'Fez' Sanchez to thank for it, in large part.

I'm also working on helping three other productions right at this moment, and working on a crossover live action fan film project.  Writing proceeds on several Saladin stories and the crossover project.  With all that, I'm still working on the 3d animated feature on a weekly basis, doing at least one or two animations per week.  I had a job change that has impacted (in a GOOD way) my schedule for working on the film.

There have been some recent Wiki page updates on the Saladin and other projects, if anyone is interested, also.  And here's a link to a short photonovel I adapted/made.  I hope you enjoy it.

I hope that people haven't lost faith that it will get done.  It will.  I promise.

Ken :)

;D I do not claim to be the most cynical person in the world, but while I have downgraded some 'active' productions to 'slow progress' I still have Saladin listed as full steam ahead. at Star Trek Reviewed, vis: http://startrekreviewed.blogspot.com/2009/06/210.html (S).  (Slow progress would be a 2-letter designation starting with "A" such as (AS)

Please do keep me there.  I'm a one-man band on the post production/editing side of things, so full steam for me is slow compared to say, a full production house.  :)  For nearly two months I was working a full time job and another part time, putting in 16 hour days 5 days a week, so I will admit, during that time, I didn't get much done.  Now I'm on a better job that is better hours and better pay, so the heat there is off and since then, I've done about 15 new animations for Saladin.  In the middle there, I took a short break to be part of the latest Eagle film, and with George Kaiaiyan on a short timetable to use his bridge set which is only temporary, we ironed out yet another crossover story, this one a larger undertaking, but it had to be done quickly or lose the opportunity.  That and three other fan films that need quick help to get released, has been a test of my scheduling and task management ability. :)

So, if all goes well, 4 releases for May are POSSIBLE.  Not "Invasion!" But there's a fun little short film I mentioned in my last post, a possible Homecoming, and Exeter Trek.  One isn't really a May release so it will be pushed back to when it is needed.  Anyhow, back to work.  Prime animation time is being wasted.  :)

Hi all, I have some news from Starship Saladin for you all.  Some of it is old news, and some is new, but I haven't posted here in awhile, so hopefully it's all new to everyone. :)

I recently released an audio production, "Shattered Faith," which I wrote a few days before I went up to the "Kitumba" shoot.  It is a short story that takes place immediately after the M-5 incident.

Here's a link:

Other news.... I have been re-rendering a lot of my 3d animation for my starship sequences in "Invasion!" with updated lighting.  I'm getting close to a release for at least the first 3rd of the film.  I had been on a roll, but I had a lightning strike that damaged my primary and backup pc's.  I've been backing up data for the last two weeks, after replacing motherboard and power supplies on both pc's.

As I've been backing up data, my little prequel to "Kitumba" has been in the works, as a prose story.  I'm hoping to release it once "Kitumba" is actually released, although now that the teaser and act 1 are out, there are no spoilers to worry about.  I'm nearly done with it and can't wait to share it with you all.

All the best with the shoot of "The Holiest Thing."  I can't wait to see the upcoming films from Phase 2.  Break a leg, as they say.

Ken :)

Thanks, Barb.  :)

My system is back up and working again.  I'm making adjustments to get the files back to full function, but things are in much better shape now.  :)

I'm glad you enjoyed "Shattered Faith."  I'm also working on two other live action projects with Saladin and other groups.  More Star Trek: Eagle and Star Trek: Antyllus are on the immediate agenda.  These will not interfere with finishing "Invasion!" which is still my top priority right now.

I'm looking forward to the imminent release of "Kitumba" and I'm really excited about that one.  I'm writing a short prequel story which should be done by the time the film is released.  It will detail some of the "Kitumba" backstory, as far as the Saladin's participation is concerned.

Folks, just to let everyone know, I'm on a very good roll here.  Since I got my system working again, I've done new animations every single day, and some days, more than one animation.  I am now knocking them out pretty quickly, and don't plan to stop until it's finished.  The other good news is that these animations are looking really good, and I'm also starting to complete whole segments' worth of animations, to get complete scenes.  I can seriously see the light at the end of this tunnel.  So, stay tuned.  I'm not stopping till it's done, and I'm past the halfway point by a fairly large margin now.

Still cruising along Bri.  :)

Yesterday was the only day that I didn't get an animation done for the project that started the same day.  However, it doesn't really count as the machine was still rendering an 800+ frame animation started on Saturday.

I'm going to render a couple of short ones to make up for it.
