Work is now underway at completing the teaser for "The Night the Stars Fell from the Sky" so it can be debuted at Trek Trax Atlanta on the April 19th weekend. The video is completed, and Steve Gallant is working on the sound and the music.

Act I is now being finalized by Rick Foxx, and we may show a rough cut of it as well (but no promises!). Randall Landers will be working on the green screen scene (a cavern) for Act II. The motion tracking is proving to be a burden, but progress is being made. RH Barr continues to work on the VFX for Act III, IV and the Tag. We're hoping for a summer release for this 90 min production.

The second season consists of 10 vignettes, nine of which are already filmed, seven of which are already edited, and four of which are virtually completed. We'll be releasing them in production order beginning late this summer and through the first quarter of next year.

The third season begins with two vignettes ("We Few..." and "Red Sky at Night") and then we intend to focus on filming two or three full-length episodes this summer.

Come join the cast and crew from Project: Potemkin at Trek Trax Atlanta (www.trektrax.org)! We'll be there all next weekend, showing the first nine productions from our fan-produced series along with the upcoming teaser from "Night the Stars Fell from the Sky" and sneak previews of three additional vignettes from the second season. You'll be able to talk with several cast members as well as members of the creative team.

While at TrekTrax, you'll be able to meet and greet folks from Phase 2, Starship Farragut, Starship Valkyrie, Starship Reliant to name a few.

And, on Friday night, Project: Potemkin will be shooting "Closing Time," a vignette set in a space bar, and we're inviting everyone to join in on the fun. Just wear a Star Trek: The Undiscovered Country appropriate uniform/costume, and we'll put you in the vignette (signed release required)!

We're hoping to see everyone there next weekend!

Nice work for a short shot at a convention with a day to have it ready for a showing.  I'm hoping the sound tweaking includes knocking down the background chatter in the bar and bringing up the dialog of the main characters at the bar. I could make out most of it but it did get tough at times.

Opening and closing music were again nicely done.

You see to be doing a lot of writing and a good job of it too. Kudos!

All the best!

Thanks, Bri.

Yes, we're going to be doing some audio work on the production, especially in the voicework for the four leads. I would've liked to have done it at the convention, but something came up, and we were unable to get it there. Pity. If we were, I think it would've been awesome.

Still, it was a fun exercise, and it was great working with so many folks from different fan films! We hope to have the "final cut" released no later than December.

Just a brief update on what's going on with our production:

S01-2 "The Night the Stars Fell from the Sky" -- About 50 edits/effects to go until it's turned over to Steve Gallant for Sound and Music and Cicada extraction. It's my hope to get 2-4 edits/effects done over the next three weeks.

S02-A "Duty Bound" -- John Northam and Kevin McCulley are working on the VFX for the first production of the second season. Steve Gallant is working on a new score. Chris Cameron is working on the closing scene of a new opening credit sequence that Rick Foxx is working on.

S02-B "Darkness" -- Virtually done.

S02-C "Second Contact" -- a little tightening on the edit, a few keys VFX from Kenneth Thompson, and she's ready to go.

S02-D "Ashes" -- Virtually done.

S02-E "Beach Towel" -- Virtually done.

S02-F "Shovel of Kahless" -- Edit complete. Needs a few VFX from Ken Thomson.

S02-G "Command Decision" -- Edit complete. Awaiting VFX.

S02-H "Just Once" -- Edit complete. Awaiting VFX.

S02-I "Closing Time" -- Virtually complete. Needs a touch of ADR and a couple of VFX tweaks.

S02-J "The Lucky One" -- Currently undergoing editing.

S03-A "We Few" -- Currently undergoing editing.

S03-B "Holding Pattern" -- Filming August 17th.

S03-1 "Callie" -- Filming this fall.

S03-C "Untitled Transporter Room Vignette" -- Filming September.

S03-2 "Between Two Worlds" -- Filming October/November.

S03-3 "The Monsters Are With Us" -- Filming December

We will also be hosting an opening house of our studios on Saturday, October 12th from 10:00am until 4:00pm in Albany, Georgia. Come take a tour of our new 2000' facility! RSVP please to [email protected]. Albany is 3 hours from Atlanta, 4 from Savannah and Jacksonville, 1.5 from Tallahassee and Dothan. All are welcome! No charge for admission.
