Hmmmm ... the film's release is February 14th next year.  This would be a good excuse to take your lady friend out on a Valentine's Day movie-date (grin) and get to see this non-chick-flick at the same time.  Actually, there are some women who like action-oriented films.

P.S.  For other action-film aficionados, the new Bond film "Skyfall" is coming up about a month from today.  And following the "...Die Hard" film, I'm also looking forward to the "Lone Ranger" film starring Johnny Depp as Tonto in July.  Between those two, and with some trepidation (ahem), I'm also looking forward to "Star Trek Into Darkness" on May 17th.

Yes, some women like these type of films.  Probably more than some people think.  My mom is the one who got me started on the Die Hard films.  She had them on VHS tape back in the day and, when I was old enough, she let me watch them.  We went together to see Die Hard: With a Vengeance in the theater.

My mom passed away many years ago.  If your's is still with you, that would make a great "early Mother's Day" present ... to return the favor by taking her out to see it.

My mom (and my ex) were chick-flick women who disdained "action" films.  The only odd exception to that is that my ex liked horror films - even though she had no tolerance for horror, hehehe.  We were once watching "The Creature From the Black Lagoon" on TV.  I'd seen it a couple of times before but she'd never seen it.  Anyhoo, there's one part in the film where the creature sneaks up behind a woman and puts its hand on her shoulder.  At that exact moment (from behind, hehe), I put my hand on my ex's shoulder and made a creature noise.  I thought she was going to go into orbit, hehehe.  And when she was pregnant with our son, she "asked" me to take her to see "Poltergeist."  A scene came up where a demon's head comes out of a bedroom closet and snarled at the husband.  My ex jumped to her feet and screamed at the top of her lungs.  Hehehe, everyone else in the theater started snickering ... and my ex slinked back into her seat, completely embarrassed.  Heck, I thought she'd go into labor (grin).  I don't know why but she had this morbid desire to be scared out of her wits.  Later, when we watched "The Exorcist" on VHS, she had a strong grip on my hand during most of it (yet refused to look away from the screen, hehe).
