I just watched it last night, and I have to say that "The Price of Anything" is far and away the best thing STAR SHIP FARRAGUT has done yet.  The lead actors are pretty comfortable with their roles, the guest actors were great, lots of action, both in space and on an alien world.  Heck, even their new title sequence was wonderful!

I watched it last night.  I couldn't get the video on the Farragut site to play, so I downloaded the DVD .iso, burned it and watched it. 

WARNING:  Spoilers lay below.  You've been warned.

Overall, it was very good.  The acting was good, I really feel that John Broughton and Mike and Holly Bednar are doing a great job in their roles.  So is everyone else, but those three are stand-outs because we've seen them get better and better as the series progresses.  Story wise, it wasn't the best.  I mean, it was good, but nothing that really blew me away.  Plus, I found it odd that the Romulan part of the plot was never really resolved.  The thing on the planet stayed there, Tacket released the Romulan ship after defeating it and the Romulans weren't even mentioned again after Carter beamed back up to the ship.  So, we don't know what happened with them.  However, the battle between the Farragut and the Romulan BOP was the best part of the story, IMHO.  I thought that was really well done.  The special effects on this episode are the best the series has had so far.  The music was also good.  I like how the Farragut crew composes their own music, that's a really nice touch.

Anywho, I'm looking forward to their next episode.

I haven't seen it yet, but I've liked what I have seen from the Farragut crew.

The acting's getting better all the time. They're one of the few groups I've seen that's aiming for the same level of quality as Phase II.

What puzzles me is that, as I understood things, "The Price of Anything" was supposed to be the studio's last episode - after which their studio would concentrate on the "Star Trek Continues" project.  But, I see they've already had auditions for (and possibly started filming) episode 4, "Conspiracy of Innocence" - and also have a "Crew Logs - Night Watch" vignette in post-production.  Anyone know why they had a change of heart?

P.S. (blush) I only put up my transcodes of episode 3 recently.  No one with the Farragut project informed me (a mirror site) of its release.  Still, the blame is not entirely theirs.  As a mirror site, I should have kept my eyes open.  So ultimately, if anyone dropped the ball, it was me.  Anyhoo, that's been rectified - and my Farragut mirror is now up-to-date.

I for one hope they keep going with the Farragut. As much as I like seeing new episodes of TOS, I also like the idea of what is going on in other ships in the same era.

I've really been "out-of-the-loop" of information on Farragut for some time.  I can't recall the last time they contacted me with information.  I remember that "The Price of Anything" was due out in August last year - but that the release was postponed.  It wasn't until just a few days ago that I found out the episode was released in December.  FWIW, their other mirror sites (except one) appear to be clueless as well.  I'm kinda waiting for someone to say "Didn't you hear about it on our Facebook site?"  Grrrrr.  You'd think mirror site operators would be the FIRST people to find out about new releases.  Go figure.

Not really. Pauley79.com for example was serving as a key download site for HQ AVI, MOV, MPG, QT files for all 9 Potemkin productions, and he pulled it and everything else a few months with a brief apology. It left us scrambling, and we still haven't had time to find a new host ourselves, leaving us on YouTube and Vimeo only.
