Steven Moffat (Dr. Who and Sherlock Producer) loves Star Trek!
« on: January 07, 2013, 01:23:43 pm »
Hi,
I just saw this interesting video interview with Steven Moffat and his son where he is asked various questions submitted by fans:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5eu5xtc-x3k

At 4:20, Steven admits to loving Star Trek and that his son is really keen on Star Trek as well.

As Dr. Who and Star Trek have been referencing each other many times in the past, I added a comment to that video that perhaps it would be possible to do a Dr. Who / Star Trek crossover episode.

"In the interview, Steven talks about loving Star Trek. R.T. Davis said we would have loved to have done a Star Trek crossover episode. Dr. Who and Star Trek have been referencing each other for a long time so how about doing a Dr. Who / Star Trek crossover? Star Trek New Voyages: Phase II have all the Star Trek sets ready for use, so is this something you would consider for a story idea - perhaps even as a Children in Need special. The fans would love to see the Tardis land on the Enterprise..."

As that channel is run by Steven's son, who is interested in Star Trek, there is a very good chance he will make Steven aware of my message. Who knows, maybe the BBC will be turning up in James's studio to film a crossover episode, now that would be great!
