Why? If you do this, then why even bother keeping this forum alive? Facebook decentralizes the conversation so that you have to be in-the-know or part of the in-crowd to share the conversation. The forum is neutral territory and everyone here is on equal ground. Pulling people into little cliques isn't going to help the popularity of this group, or help fund it in any way.

Since you seems to think FB is the place to be why don't you create a list of all the new hip and cool pages we should all be hanging out and post them to this thread so the rest of us won't feel left out. We might as well all migrate to FB, and we can save money by shutting this forum down.

I hope not, then I would be completely out of the loop. I do not used FB and never will. These forums are the only place I get any P2 information and enjoy the chance to discuss Trek in all it's forms without having to see pictures of cats on toilets and hearing about that (really not at all) funny thing that happened to you in 3rd grade.

I think the fact that this forum has been constantly crashing and offline for hours at a time has helped to move the conversation to FaceBook.

If this forum software was more reliable, then perhaps more would stay here. I personally run a forum of my own, of a similar size, for many years and it hardly ever crashes. I can therefore highly recommend using vBulletin as a forum engine.

Last word from the top was that this forum WILL remain in use, although Tony is right, the Phase-II Facebook page is a lot more active... the way this forum used to be. I for one will continue to come here and moderate, although I don't get on every day the way I used to.

Hopefully, at least one of the producers will continue to log in here at the very least to post major news.

It's a shame people have abandoned this  forum. I really dislike facebook. The organization of everything is abysmal. It looks kinda like someone vomited information on the page. There's so much noise!

I have to agree with that. I do use facebook but I prefer coming on here and browsing rather that wading through the FB timelines to find something I'd rather a dedicated Forum anyday.

Specific forums will always have the advantage that they let you post only (or at least mostly) about the topic at hand. I can come hear and know that new posts will be about Phase II, or at least Star Trek or at least Science Fiction and generally in that order. On face book that would be interspersed with chatter and noise that takes away from the topic.
