Thanks Willie! Our main "home" is still in PH...and it's the only location with a carpet, so bring it there.

Please, everyone,

Yes, we will use a second studio site in June, BUT Port Henry, as Patty stated, is our main base for June Shoot.

Please bring items to PH - UNLESS otherwise directed!

I was asked Saturday 23 March best places to Stay. The Ti area is best. It is 20 minutes to PH and 30 to the second site from the Ticonderoga area.

We swill be announcing May work weekends about mid-April, 2012.

The list of places to stay is located in the "pre-production - lodging" thread. They were also sent out by James to all current crew by email.

If you did not receive THAT email from James and CEC then we don't have your current email on our list and you will miss other important shoot emails....so please PM me and let me know, as well as your correct email address. Thanks.

Could you post a link to these items?  Thanks.

First, a heads-up for anyone thinking of bringing Liquid Latex to the shoot.  Liquid Latex is on Homeland Security's "no-fly list" of prohibited liquid substances.  A red note to that effect came up on my screen when I ordered it.  If a TSA screener sees it at the airport, they will confiscate it.  The only legal means to transport it is if you drive to the shoot - or ship it via UPS Ground or FedEx Ground.

OK, two of each are on their way to 13 Wiley Street ... but not right away.  They're out of prosthetic adhesive and are ordering it in ... and sent me an email asking what the absolute deadline was for receiving it.  I told them it had to be received by Friday, May 31st at the absolute latest.

On the needs list above, I was wondering if you needed only white printer paper or if you also needed colored printer paper (for scripts?).  Also, there are two other items not on the list that might be needed.  First, ink/toner for the printer(s).  Would need to know the printer brand(s) and model number(s).  Secondly, last year, Linda Falvo said she had enough paper towel rolls for the bathroom dispensers.  If you need more this year, I'll order 3 cases around mid-May so they won't clutter up James' house for very long (unless you want the rolls sent to Linda or someone else).  Let me know if you need these.

...but...

As mentioned last year, I found a supplier cheaper than ULine.  Here's ULine's page on the paper towels:

http://www.uline.com/Product/Detail/S-7217/Towels-Dispensers/Kraft-Paper-Roll-Towels

And here's a page on the identical rolls from GeneralJan:

http://www.generaljan.com/index.php?file=productdetail&iprod_id=818

Though it appears the prices are very close (only 16 cents a case cheaper at GeneralJan), ULine charges a pretty penny for shipping.  But GeneralJan will ship 2 or more cases FREE!  The difference in dollars for 3 cases (including shipping/tax) is $147.58 from ULine or $96.57 from GeneralJan (a savings of $51.01).  Shipping speed should be roughly the same, too, since ULine is in Pennsylvania while GeneralJan is in New Jersey.

Anyhow, let me know if they're needed.

J. Alec West

Thanks Alec!

Yes, actually all the adhesives and latex are hazardous and need to be shipped ground.

Here are good links for what we need:

Beta Bond/ Telsus/Pros Aide adhesives (Pros Aide is old school, they all do the same thing.)

liquid latex -

We can still definitely use more of these than Alec ordered.  We go through at least 4 oz of liquid latex, 4 oz of spirit gum remover, 1-2 oz of spirit gum, 4 - 8 oz of beta bond/pros aide...and at least 8 oz of Beta Solv. (We use a LOT of beta solv to get Spock's ears and eyebrows off)

We may also need the "cover up" supplies used for Spocks eyebrows....I will check our current supplies and let people know.  Sorry I didn't post links etc earlier, was hanging back to let the makeup guy do it and not step on any toes.

We have several colors of paper for script changes on set. We always need at least a box of white for printing scripts and schedules, etc on the sets. Usually it can be picked up at Wal Mart by someone on the way up.
